The position consists of 40 hours per week across 261 working days annually, reflecting a year-round engagement with the district's transportation needs. The Transportation CDL Trainer is primarily responsible for coordinating, training, and supporting the district’s transportation operations. As the lead trainer for CDL and small bus drivers, this role is crucial for maintaining high standards of safety and operational effectiveness. The trainer develops and delivers comprehensive training programs for new and current drivers, conducts evaluations, and ensures all drivers meet state and district regulations. Additionally, this position involves managing and updating student bus routes, handling route planning alongside the Transportation Manager, and operating buses for daily routes or special events when necessary.
