The role of Receptionist at GECU is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring seamless communication within the credit union. This position involves greeting members, realtors, visitors, and managing the flow of incoming calls with a professional and helpful demeanor. The Receptionist will maintain the reception area's pleasant appearance while handling various administrative tasks that support the title and closing services department. Responsibilities include managing contracts and checks, preparing documentation with specialized software, issuing policies, and ensuring accurate record keeping. Attention to detail and compliance with regulatory guidelines are critical aspects of the role. The Receptionist will also assist with office equipment maintenance, mail distribution, scheduling, and other clerical duties to support operational efficiency. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and client-based systems. Candidates should be motivated, energetic team players with a professional appearance and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. To excel, the Receptionist must acquire an Escrow Officer License within the first six months and maintain a thorough understanding of title insurance requirements and regulatory compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Member Identification Program (MIP), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC). This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering a career pathway within a reputable credit union dedicated to community financial empowerment.
  • Associates degree preferred
  • minimum of 1 year title and closing services experience
  • ability to obtain Escrow Officer License within the first 6 months in position
