We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our Dining Services team. As a Sous Chef at The Timbers, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and supporting the kitchen staff while fostering a motivating and creative work environment. You will be entrusted with preparing meals that meet a variety of dietary needs, including therapeutic and modified diets essential for our senior population's health and wellness. Regular quality assurance audits will be part of your routine to guarantee that every meal served meets our rigorous standards while maintaining a neat and organized kitchen. In this role, you will also build and maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors to keep the kitchen well-stocked and equipped. Beyond your culinary responsibilities, you will participate actively in hiring, orienting, training, and evaluating kitchen staff, as well as supervising utility and front-of-house personnel when necessary.
