The bartender understands and strictly follows alcohol serving laws, ensuring the safe and responsible service of alcoholic beverages. In this role, you will prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in adherence to established recipes, complete with garnishes, while engaging warmly with customers. Beyond drink preparation, bartenders take food orders and serve meals when necessary, ensuring that all guests receive timely and attentive service. Maintaining a clean and sanitary bar environment is paramount, including the upkeep of bar surfaces, furniture, and equipment, as well as proper handling and return of dishware. The bartender is also responsible for managing inventory by restocking liquors, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic ingredients, and replacing beer barrels as needed to guarantee smooth operation. Precise cash management skills are crucial, as bartenders reconcile cash registers accurately at the end of each shift. • High school diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the cafe for prolonged periods of time
