This position is for a Flight Test Pilot based onsite at the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role involves supporting the development and certification of the company’s cutting-edge avionics product lines. As a Flight Test Pilot, you will have the critical responsibility of planning, executing, and reporting flight test activities. You will serve as either the pilot-in-command (PIC) or second-in-command (SIC) on company-operated aircraft, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements, performing ground and flight tests, and coordinating efforts with engineering teams to prepare flight test plans and compliance reports. Safety and risk management are paramount in this role, requiring the identification and mitigation or elimination of hazards during flight tests.
This is an onsite role ideal for an experienced pilot with a strong background in multi-crew turbine aircraft flying and a thorough understanding of FAA Part 23/25 certification processes. The job offers a salary range from $147,000 to $295,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities. - Degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or advanced degree in related field
- Minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or 10 years with advanced degree
- U.S. person requirement (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or protected individual)
- Commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating
- Minimum 2000 hours total time
- Minimum 1500 multi-engine flight hours
- FAA first-class medical certificate
