The Product Support Assistant position at DFS plays a vital role within the Product Support team, focusing on the efficient management of inventory and logistics operations. This role is responsible for facilitating the smooth flow of products from stock receiving to sales floor replenishment, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing. Additionally, the assistant handles reverse logistics by consolidating damaged goods and supporting the delivery of products directly to customers at departure gates, thus enhancing the overall customer experience. The position requires close collaboration with the Product Support Coordinator and Team Lead to guarantee that all assignments are executed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company standards.
The ideal candidate must be proactive and energetic, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude conducive to working in a fast-paced retail environment. Key duties include regular replenishment of products on the sales floor, managing price tag updates following the Price Change Notification reports, and product rotation according to established guidelines to maintain product freshness and availability. Responsibilities also extend to assisting with distribution of supplies such as paper bags and undertaking clerical tasks as needed. Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling is essential, alongside the flexibility to work varied shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
This full-time role offers an hourly wage between $13.65 and $20.45, reflecting the importance of the position in upholding DFS's commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of secondary or high school education, with 1-2 years of experience in logistics or a related field underpinning their readiness to contribute effectively. A valid driver’s license is necessary should the candidate be required to operate company vehicles, reinforcing the logistical aspect of the job.
