The University of Notre Dame’s Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) Division plays an integral role in campus life by leading event management, hospitality, and customer service operations. This division supports a wide array of university activities including student life events, academic programs, athletics, alumni relations, research initiatives, and major campus events, reflecting the dynamic and multifaceted environment of the institution.
Currently, UOES is seeking individuals for the role of Temporary Dish Crew Steward within the campus Hospitality Department. This position offers a fantastic opportunity, particularly for those who are beginning their journey in a professional kitchen environment or looking for flexible, temporary work. The Temporary Dish Crew Steward role is a contract, on-call position designed to support the essential operations within culinary and hospitality services on campus.
As a Dish Crew Steward, individuals will be responsible for ensuring kitchen sanitation and maintaining the smooth flow of operations by operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, manually cleaning pots and pans, organizing clean dishware, and supporting general kitchen cleanliness and organization. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred but not required
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
