KitchFix is currently seeking a Task Force Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. This contract-based role offers a unique opportunity to provide short-term culinary support to MLB clubhouses, player development complexes, and other KitchFix operations as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and possesses excellent culinary skills combined with the ability to adapt to various teams, facilities, and schedules quickly. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of food quality and service that KitchFix is known for, especially in performance-focused settings requiring specialized nutritional meals. The Task Force Chef plays a key role in collaborating with Executive Chefs, dietitians, and the leadership team to design and implement menus tailored to meet the nutritionally demanding requirements of professional athletes. This includes managing full-service buffet setups, made-to-order stations, and specialized meals catering to various dietary restrictions. The culinary professional will be responsible for organizing and preparing meals for 60 to 100 people per service and ensuring that snack, beverage, and recovery stations within clubhouses are well maintained and fully stocked. This role requires impeccable food safety standards, including adherence to sanitation and allergen-labeling protocols. Additionally, the Task Force Chef actively supports inventory management tasks such as ordering and receiving supplies while maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas. Success in this position depends on strong interpersonal skills, as the chef must develop and maintain positive relationships with players, coaches, and staff to foster a culture of positivity, teamwork, and culinary excellence. Flexibility is a critical component of this position, as the Task Force Chef may be required to travel frequently and operate efficiently in various locations and environments, often with irregular and variable work hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is assignment-based, and travel and lodging expenses are covered when applicable.
