The Taproom Manager plays a crucial role in the brewery's success by overseeing the daily operations of the taproom. Maintaining inventory and stock levels is another critical function, with the manager ensuring that all beer, beverages, and related supplies are properly ordered, received, and stored.
In addition to operational tasks, the Taproom Manager is responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the taproom, including budgeting, cash handling, and sales reporting, to maximize profitability. They also develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, such as special promotions, events, and social media campaigns, that enhance the taproom’s visibility and attract patrons. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing the quality of beverages served, including coordinating the draught beer list and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as all applicable alcohol serving laws.
The manager will plan and execute community-focused events like beer tastings and tap takeovers to engage local customers and strengthen the brewery’s brand presence. Additionally, maintaining a clean, well-organized, and inviting atmosphere is essential to encourage repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth recommendations. Collaborating closely with the brewery production team, marketing departments, and other internal stakeholders ensures unified efforts toward the taproom’s operating goals. The Taproom Manager must handle customer feedback professionally and resolve complaints swiftly to uphold the company’s reputation.
This role requires flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and special events, as the taproom operates during peak social hours. The ideal candidate will have proven hospitality management experience, strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for craft beer. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and local to the Dayton area, as physical presence onsite is critical for successful taproom management.
