The Sports and Aquatics Program Manager position based at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is a vital leadership role within the Fitness Division. This incumbent is tasked with both the technical and administrative oversight of MWR’s Sports and Aquatics programs. The role requires dynamic management skills to supervise staff, develop comprehensive sports leagues and aquatics offerings, and ensure that operational activities comply with all policies and safety standards. The incumbent is responsible for fostering an inclusive and positive environment that encourages participation and promotes physical, psychological, and social health benefits through recreational sports and aquatics activities.
In this role, the manager works closely with other MWR leaders, military command personnel, and community partners to coordinate events, develop promotional strategies, and resolve any disputes or challenges that arise during programming. This individual must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Navy MWR programs and policies, as well as expertise in personnel management covering recruitment, hiring, training, and staff development to ensure that the team delivers exceptional service.
