This position is based within the 11903 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Food and Nutrition department located in Winston Salem, NC. The role is full-time, offering a standard 40-hour workweek with variable scheduling to accommodate the department's needs. The position offers a competitive pay range from $23.65 to $35.50 per hour and is benefits-eligible from day one. Employees can select from copay or HSA-eligible health insurance starting immediately upon hire. Additionally, generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits begin accruing from day one at a rate of 25 days per year, intended for vacation, personal, holiday, and sick leave.
In this role, the supervisor will manage daily food service operations encompassing areas such as sandwich stands, salad bars, grills, hot foods, and tray lines to maintain high customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery. The role involves supervising staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and support to meet operational goals, assisting in cash handling and payroll, and managing scheduling tasks. Identifying and resolving operational issues proactively, escalating when necessary, is a key function, alongside delegating tasks, monitoring food service standards, and prioritizing critical activities effectively.
The supervisor will play a crucial role in employee development by delivering constructive feedback to motivate and improve performance while fostering a positive work environment that supports diversity and inclusion initiatives.
