The role of Operations Supervisor at Frontier Airlines focuses on efficiently planning, organizing, coordinating, and communicating multiple operational functions within station and focus city operations. This position acts as a vital link between various operational departments inside and outside Frontier to ensure safe, timely, and effective movement of flights and ground services. Operations Supervisors are responsible for managing flight information, coordinating aircraft movements like towing and gate assignments, overseeing cargo and baggage handling, and ensuring complete compliance with regulatory standards such as those from the FAA, TSA, CBP, and USDA alongside local airport policies. They play a crucial role in strengthening internal communications between ground crews, flight crews, emergency responders, and contract services, utilizing various communication technologies including radios and computer systems.
Success in this role requires proficiency in managing and monitoring flight paperwork, daily auditing, forecasting, and disruption management based on real-time weather changes or operational interruptions. The Operations Supervisor also ensures that load planning and ramp activities are efficient and aligned with safe service delivery goals. Their leadership helps maintain professional relationships across departments, promotes operational improvement initiatives, and monitors the performance of Load Masters. This role requires a high tolerance for stress while juggling multiple priorities and maintaining calm, clear communication throughout operational challenges.
