The Lot Porter role at Price Family Dealerships is essential in maintaining the dealership’s appearance and operational efficiency. This full-time, non-exempt position focuses on performing regular non-mechanical maintenance duties and assisting in vehicle movement across the dealership. The Lot Porter helps ensure that the vehicle lots are attractive for potential buyers by keeping them clean and well-organized. This involves parking vehicles according to dealership policies, cleaning vehicles on the lot, maintaining key tags and window stickers, and assisting Sales and Service staff by transporting vehicles as needed. In addition, Lot Porters may drive vehicles to other dealerships for dealer swaps, deliver vehicles to vendors, or even transport customers upon request.
The position requires physical stamina, as the role involves lifting weights up to 50 pounds independently and collaborating with team members for heavier items. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks like kneeling and crouching. The role occasionally requires travel to other dealership locations and involves working evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are fundamental requirements, with preference given to candidates with one to three years of related porter experience.
