The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is a pivotal role at Popeyes, serving as the executive leader responsible for the overall success of a single restaurant. With a primary focus on driving profitability, optimizing guest satisfaction, managing personnel, and ensuring smooth daily operations, the RGM plays a critical part in sustaining the restaurant's reputation and financial health. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a proactive approach to handling various aspects of restaurant management.
The RGM invests significant time in cultivating leadership within the team, creating memorable guest experiences, overseeing administrative duties, maintaining exemplary facility conditions, and embodying the brand’s core values and promises. They are accountable for managing the restaurant’s P&L, analyzing financial performance to maximize returns, and adjusting operational strategies as needed to improve sales and labor efficiency.
In this role, the General Manager motivates and directs team members to deliver superior guest service characterized by accuracy, friendliness, and speed within a clean and welcoming environment. They handle guest feedback methodically, identify root causes of issues, and implement compelling action plans to enhance service quality. Moreover, the RGM actively participates in community outreach and local marketing initiatives to bolster the restaurant’s visibility and attract new customers.
Leadership development is a crucial component of the RGM’s responsibilities. - Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience, experience in management preferred
- Some understanding of P&L interpretation and management to influence profitability
- Ability to prioritize own and others' work and time to meet deadlines and objectives
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Guest service principles
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed, for proper functioning of the restaurant
