Currently, Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a well-rounded and seasoned Stewarding Supervisor to join their opening team. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization expected within the culinary department. Reporting directly to the Executive Steward and Stewarding Manager, the Stewarding Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily stewarding operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position requires a passion for cleanliness, efficiency in kitchen operations, and a dedication to supporting the culinary team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
The Stewarding Supervisor will manage supply orders to maintain proper par levels, oversee the inventory and storage of food and beverage equipment, and ensure that all ware washing equipment and kitchen utensils are clean and in proper working order. Daily cleanliness practices will be reviewed regularly with the stewarding team to uphold rigorous standards. Additionally, the role involves spearheading the kitchen recycling program, assisting with special projects from the Executive Steward and Executive Chef, and maintaining the cleanliness of all back-of-house areas, including kitchen spaces and walk-in refrigeration units.
This leadership role also includes key responsibilities such as managing food delivery and station breakdowns during banquet events, monitoring inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, conducting inspections to ensure all areas meet company standards, and training staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage. The position demands physical fitness to perform duties involving standing, walking, lifting, and working in variable temperatures ranging from freezing cold to high heat environments.

- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' stewarding experience, with 1 years' experience in a stewarding leadership role
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must be physically able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, stretch and fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures ranging from -10 degrees F to over 110 degrees F
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs occasionally
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
