This particular opening is for a Steward/Dishwasher role, an essential position within the culinary operations of Hilton Anaheim. The Steward/Dishwasher is key to maintaining the heart of the hotel kitchen by managing the sanitation and organization of cooking utensils, service ware, and kitchen equipment. This role supports the culinary team and directly contributes to delivering outstanding guest experiences and operational efficiency, which are cornerstones of Hilton's service philosophy. The position follows an overnight shift schedule, from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, and offers a starting hourly wage of $22.75, increasing to $28.44 after the probation period. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting or pushing loads up to 50 pounds. Candidates with at least six months of experience in similar roles such as steward, dishwasher, or housekeeping are preferred.
In this role, you will be entrusted with responsibilities such as operating dishwashers to clean chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils; scrubbing pots and pans; burnishing and polishing silverware; stocking and maintaining kitchen supplies and equipment; performing general cleaning duties like mopping floors and removing trash; transporting and storing cleaned service ware appropriately; training other stewards as needed; and preparing service items for events and functions hosted at the hotel.
