The role is critical in supporting the kitchen operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef. The primary focus is on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in kitchen stations, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and operational efficiency are met consistently. This position requires diligent communication with kitchen leadership to manage job assignments and adhere to required timeframes effectively. Responsibilities include setting up workstations, maintaining clean kitchenware and utensils by operating dishwashing machinery, and addressing any technical issues that arise. Additionally, the role involves careful inventory management of cleaning supplies, timely restocking, and proper sanitation of the kitchen area, including floors and disposal of garbage. Special attention is required for delicate or specific items such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and fine china, which must be washed by hand with proper care. • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training
• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required
• Ability to work on your feet in humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more
• Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask
• 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience
