We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is crucial to the successful operation of our kitchen, involving oversight of all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation, and maintaining the highest quality standards. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing inventory costs, and helping to create work schedules based on business data to ensure optimal coverage. The position also involves training staff on proper kitchen equipment cleaning and safety procedures, safeguarding our recipes, and addressing any food quality complaints promptly.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of varied kitchen experience, including roles such as food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter, with a strong emphasis on a from scratch cooking concept. A minimum of one year in a similar managerial capacity is required to ensure capability in leadership and kitchen operations management. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the General Manager to review and monitor expenditures to maintain budget compliance and will assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of back-of-house personnel. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, withstand extreme temperatures, and work standing for up to 11 hours a day in a noisy environment.
