The Sr. Safety Manager role at Red Cow Group of Companies is a pivotal position responsible for championing safety culture across multiple divisions and affiliated companies. Reporting directly to the Safety Director, this full-time exempt salaried position is located onsite at the San Diego office. The Sr. Safety Manager plays an essential role in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety policies and programs to ensure regulatory compliance and protect all employees. The ideal candidate will be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and must possess OSHA 30 certification, which is mandatory for this position. This role involves strategic planning and leadership duties that require significant decision-making authority and cross-level communication with diverse teams. The Sr. Safety Manager is charged with fostering a culture of safety, conducting site inspections, leading onboarding and training sessions, and ensuring that all employees have the appropriate tools and knowledge to perform their tasks safely. Additionally, the role requires oversight of incident investigations, safety data analysis, and regulatory compliance monitoring. The candidate must also support disciplinary actions as necessary in collaboration with human resources and management. Beyond compliance and enforcement, this position demands leadership in safety initiatives such as Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Substance Abuse prevention, COVID-19 protocols, and Fleet Safety programs. The Sr. Safety Manager must be able to administer these programs effectively, procure necessary safety equipment, and maintain communication channels that encourage reporting and corrective action. Physical requirements include the ability to navigate both indoor and outdoor environments, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The ability to work nights, weekends, and travel up to 10 percent is also required.   • Minimum age 18 years
  • Valid Class C California Driver's License
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction and/or General Industry Certification
  • OSHA 500/501 Trainer Certification preferred
  • Additional certifications such as Train-the-Trainer for Forklifts, MEWPs, Swing stage / Suspended / Supported Scaffold, Respiratory Protection, Defensive Driving
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, drive for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work nights/weekends as required
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
