Pizza Hut is currently seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Global Restaurant Food Safety to spearhead and elevate the company's food safety and quality programs. This critical leadership role reports directly to the Director of Global Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) and carries the responsibility of ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations throughout every stage of the supply chain – from farm to fork. The position demands approximately 75% focus on U.S. restaurant and supply food safety and 25% attention to global restaurant food safety initiatives, reflecting the company's dual emphasis on domestic excellence and international standards. The Senior Manager will lead a team of three Food Safety Specialists, playing a pivotal role in upholding Pizza Hut’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality products worldwide. This role involves managing the U.S. Restaurant Food Safety Program with global support functions, overseeing supply chain food safety categories, and establishing a comprehensive 1 to 5-year roadmap for global restaurant food safety that aligns with Yum! FSQ goals, operational strategies, and regulatory compliance requirements. In addition, the Senior Manager will lead sustainability strategies including the Good Growth Strategy, nutritional programs, and wellness initiatives while proactively managing regulatory policy initiatives that impact ingredients and menu items. Beyond oversight functions, this position requires cross-functional collaboration with global operations, supply chain teams, and senior leadership to harmonize efforts and ensure successful execution of the global restaurant food safety strategy. The role also emphasizes driving superior product quality through daily support for the FSQ Product Evaluation program and evolving its future strategy. Additionally, the candidate will engage with suppliers, conduct audits, and oversee non-conformance monitoring to ensure all Pizza Hut standards are met and continually improved. The Senior Manager brings at least eight years of restaurant food safety experience with added advantage for supply chain knowledge, alongside a minimum of two years of team leadership experience focused on mentorship and inclusive culture building. A strong foundation in food safety and quality system auditing, HACCP knowledge, and familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the FDA and Food Code is essential. Working a hybrid schedule with onsite attendance at the Plano, TX office three days a week, the role demands a 25% travel commitment.
