The role involves joining AVNIK's logistics engineering team as a forward-thinking retired Senior Army Aviation Maintenance Officer or Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) with extensive experience in US Army Aviation. Candidates must have at least 20 years of aviation experience and 15 years specifically in aviation maintenance. This full-time position is based at Redstone Arsenal and demands a deep understanding of various Army Aviation aircraft and systems, including reconnaissance helicopters such as the OH-58, attack aircraft like the AH-64, man-unmanned teaming technologies (MUM-T), utility helicopters (UH-60), and cargo aircraft such as the CH-47. The successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting maintenance and sustainment analyses for Program Executive Office Aviation (PEOAVN) government customers, including support for future light attack reconnaissance aircraft and long-range utility and attack aircraft under Project Manager Future Vertical Lift (PM FVL). The job requires strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, as well as the capability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As part of multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups, the incumbent will contribute to various mission-critical activities, including lifecycle logistics planning, acquisition analyses, requirements development, science and technology demonstrations, and international engagement initiatives. Tasks involve developing life cycle sustainment plans, conducting business case analyses, supporting airworthiness standards compliance, and analyzing sustainment trade-offs to meet future sustainment concept goals such as Maintenance Free Operating Period (MFOP) and Health State Awareness. The role demands expertise in interpreting and analyzing logistics data to inform key performance parameters and system attributes, crafting well-structured documentation, and presenting findings clearly in written and verbal formats. Experience with technology integration for lifecycle sustainment development and cost reduction strategies is essential. Candidates must also be adept at supporting various technical demonstration programs and strategic planning for international partner participation.
