RH is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our culinary operations and enhancing guest experiences. As a critical member of the Property Leadership Team, the Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen functions, mentor and develop the culinary staff, and manage key operational activities such as recruitment and administrative duties. The Sous Chef will champion culinary excellence and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations while fostering a collaborative, hardworking team environment. This position demands both culinary expertise and strong leadership capabilities, tasked with upholding RH's culinary standards while driving business growth and innovation through strategic decision-making and hands-on kitchen management. - 3+ years of previous Sous Chef experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant and/or culinary program curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven ability to manage financial performance, including labor and food costs, inventory controls, and strategic resource planning
- Expertise in computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Foodager (or other inventory management system), and email communication
- Advanced culinary expertise, including mastery of knife techniques and execution of high-level cooking standards
- Proven ability to work autonomously while making strategic decisions and collaborating effectively across all levels of leadership
