The Housekeeper’s role at Viva Senior Living is vital in creating and maintaining a hygienic, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all residents and visitors. The individual will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms and public areas. Beyond the physical cleaning duties, this position requires a compassionate attitude toward residents, understanding their unique needs and respecting their rights as outlined in the Resident Bill of Rights. The housekeeper must be able to work collaboratively with peers while adhering to company attendance policies and health standards including annual health checks like TB skin tests and COVID-19 vaccination verification with specified accommodations. Physical capabilities like the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and the capacity to work intermittently throughout the day are essential due to the nature of the job. The role also demands the ability to respond to emergency situations, which may include assisting in resident evacuation during severe weather or other urgent conditions. Effective communication skills are required, with the ability to read, write, and speak English to follow instructions and document observations correctly. - Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment

- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test

- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the facility, including medical and physical examinations
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally agitated residents
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies
