The Pharmacy Technician / Patient Service Representative role at Amerita is integral to the efficient operation and delivery of superior patient care within the infusion pharmacy environment. This full-time position, offering an hourly wage range of $24.00 to $27.00, involves performing a combination of technical and clerical duties that support the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals. Additionally, the role requires conducting inventory management and quality assurance tasks that contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant pharmacy practice. The Patient Service Representative component involves managing refill requests, preparing patient supplies, and coordinating delivery activities to ensure timely and accurate patient service. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with pharmacists, nurses, patient care coordinators, and other technicians to organize and streamline patient care activities. This includes scheduling IV therapy preparations, assisting with compounding and mixing medication according to specific prescriptions, generating delivery tickets, and maintaining meticulous records of lot numbers, expiration dates, and batch information. Compliance with all relevant accreditation and regulatory standards such as those set by OSHA, FDA, and various state and federal agencies is paramount. - High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program
- one to three (1-3) years of pharmacy experience in home care, retail, or pharmacy setting
