The role of Project Safety Manager at CEI offers a unique opportunity to contribute to this safety-first culture at a commercial project level. Located in San Jose, California, this position provides a salary range of $105,000 to $130,000 and includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus plan. This role involves developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan tailored to each project's specific needs. The Project Safety Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations and will be responsible for weekly reporting on incident cases to project leadership and management. The Project Safety Manager will lead incident and injury investigations in coordination with production leadership and support safety meetings such as weekly toolbox talks. Monitoring and auditing compliance of CEI and its subcontractors is a critical aspect of the position, requiring in-depth knowledge of industry safety standards including NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI. The ideal candidate will be OSHA 30-certified with significant construction safety experience, particularly within the electrical industry, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to influence and cultivate a safety-focused team environment. This position is designed for a safety professional who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team and who is passionate about making safety a core aspect of the organizational culture. Beyond salary and the performance bonus, CEI offers a comprehensive compensation package that recognizes professional experience, certifications, and education.   • High school diploma or GED required
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification required
  • CPR/FA certified, trainer preferred
  • Willing to obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months
  • Three to five years of construction safety experience preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to work in both office and outdoor construction site settings
  • Comfortable with physical activities such as standing, climbing, and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred
