This position offers a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule with a unique 4-day workweek and early morning dispatch hours between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Drivers can earn a guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1384.62, contingent upon meeting specific weekly requirements discussed during the interview process. The Food and Food Service Delivery Driver role is essential to Core-Mark's operational success and the broader food supply chain. These drivers play a pivotal role by ensuring that food and related products are delivered promptly and safely to customers. They do not only serve as the logistical backbone making certain that products arrive in the right condition and on time but also act as the face of the company, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This hourly CDL-A Driver position requires the operation of tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight drive and drop assignments. The driver is responsible for adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, executing thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, and managing freight efficiently. Effective communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues is crucial to success in this role, ensuring inquiries are answered professionally and expediently. Additional responsibilities encompass loading and unloading products, conducting damage control inspections, completing all necessary paperwork accurately, and performing general housekeeping duties related to the vehicle and loading dock area. The role demands physical capability to handle product cases that vary in weight, typically ranging from 10 to 35 pounds, and occasionally heavier loads up to approximately 90 pounds depending on the location.   • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1+ years tractor trailer commercial driving experience
  • 6+ months foodservice/beverage distribution industry experience
  • meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • pass road test
  • attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight
