This role plays a key part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the kitchen and dining areas of an Atria Senior Living community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all kitchenware and dining equipment, including dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans, ensuring that all items meet strict hygiene protocols. Cleaning responsibilities extend to floors, equipment, and other assigned areas to maintain an orderly and sanitary environment. A core aspect of the role is to provide excellent customer service while promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere that enhances the residents' dining experience. The position requires close collaboration with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure residents' satisfaction with food and dining services. Candidates will be tasked with maintaining the dish room area in a neat and sanitary state, regularly cleaning floors, and managing trash disposal according to established schedules. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and execution of Atria's signature dining enhancement programs such as the 'Art of Atria Dining.' This includes maintaining dish machines through thorough cleaning after each meal to ensure optimal sanitizing standards and temperature levels. Employees in this role will also support the transportation and storage of food and supplies, assist cooks and wait staff as needed, and participate in pre-meal stand-up meetings to coordinate meal service. The position requires adherence to all quality enhancement standards and food safety practices outlined by Atria. Employees will also be involved in supporting special event preparation, banquet setups, and theme meal executions, showcasing the dynamic and community-focused nature of the role.
