This Food Service Worker position is a full-time role, requiring approximately 35 hours per week, primarily scheduled Monday through Friday. The role is designed for reliable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The Food Service Worker will be instrumental in preparing and serving meals to students, staff, and visitors, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring cleanliness and order in the kitchen and dining areas. This role is suitable for those who are new to food service as well as those who bring prior experience, emphasizing dependability, teamwork, and community engagement.
The position involves hands-on responsibilities such as following recipes and production guidelines, maintaining sanitation standards, stocking service areas, and assisting in inventory management. Candidates must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks, adapting to the dynamics of a school meal program, and interacting with children and adults in a professional and respectful manner. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds, reflecting the active nature of this role.
