Currently, Menzies Aviation is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Part-Time Ramp Agent at Ontario International Airport (ONT), California. This role offers an hourly wage of $20.00 and immediate hiring opportunities. Ramp Agents play a crucial role in the safe and efficient handling of baggage, freight, and cargo on commercial aircraft. The position involves unloading and loading luggage, freight, and cargo from airplanes, as well as facilitating their movement between aircraft, airport terminals, and cargo facilities. Successful candidates will operate small specialized commercial vehicles, requiring physical endurance for tasks such as heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling. This role is essential in maintaining the punctuality and security of flight operations, ensuring all items are handled in accordance with strict health, safety, and government regulations. Ramp Agents read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and cargo routing tags to ensure proper loading procedures are followed. The ability to operate motorized equipment safely is also fundamental to this position. Emphasizing flexibility, agents must be prepared to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays, often outdoors under varying weather conditions.   • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment medical test and drug screen
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Work is done primarily outdoors, must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA)
  • Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal
  • Prior ramp experience preferable
