The Kitchen Equipment Technician is accountable for installing, servicing, and repairing food service machinery including booster heaters, water heaters, refrigeration systems, and filtration units. Essential to the role is a rigorously scheduled maintenance rotation to replace equipment filters and a steady focus on preventing equipment failures through proactive care and repair.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in electrical and mechanical aspects of food service equipment and possess Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Certification or equivalent experience, alongside a valid Texas driver’s license with an insurable driving record. The position also demands strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively with cafeteria managers and food service staff to ensure equipment operates optimally.
