The role of Barista at the University of Cincinnati Main Campus, offered by Sodexo, presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about crafting high-quality beverages and creating positive customer experiences. This is a full-time position with variable shifts and hours, with a pay range between $7.25 and $16.00 per hour. The Barista serves as both an artist and a fair-trade champion, creating hand-crafted coffee and other specialty drinks such as espresso, cappuccino, café latte, chai, and fruit blend drinks. This role goes beyond beverage preparation; the Barista plays a vital role in making customers smile and ensuring that each interaction is friendly and engaging. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will operate cash registers, handle various payment methods, and maintain cleanliness in all work and customer areas, including coffee machines and restrooms. Punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts are essential, as is the flexibility to perform other assigned duties as needed depending on business requirements. The position encourages team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable individuals who foster a healthy and safe work environment. While previous experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this role an excellent entry point for those new to the food service industry. Additionally, some locations may require Starbucks Barista certification.
