The role of Sous Chef at Revel Communities places you at the heart of the dining experience, an essential part of community life. As a working lead in the kitchen, the Sous Chef is crucial in maintaining consistent food quality, safety standards, and hygiene practices. The role requires you to mentor and guide the kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations through direct involvement in food preparation, quality checks, and coaching. Creativity will be a significant part of your job, as you contribute to menu development, plan daily specials, and design appealing dishes for special occasions and themed events.
You will also help manage inventory—receiving, storing, and rotating supplies to maintain freshness and reduce waste. - Culinary training a plus
- 2+ years of cooking or food preparation experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
