The role of the Sous Chef at Clearwater Beaverton is essential in delivering culinary excellence to seniors, guests, and staff within the community. This full-time position operates primarily from Tuesday to Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, engaging in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals that meet nutritional standards and accommodate special dietary needs. The Sous Chef works closely with the head Chef to ensure the menu is executed correctly, and that all food service adheres to governmental, sanitary, and dietary regulations. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of culinary tasks, including ensuring proper food storage, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, monitoring temperature controls, and supervising kitchen staff when necessary. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive in managing kitchen operations, and committed to upholding Clearwater Living's standards and core values. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Must meet health requirements, including TB
