The role of the Sous Chef at StoryPoint of Wyoming is an integral part of the culinary and dining department, which supports the overall mission of enhancing the quality of life for senior residents. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of culinary operations, ensuring that food quality, presentation, and service meet the high standards expected in fine dining environments. This position requires a proactive culinary leader who is passionate about cooking and dedicated to maintaining the excellence that defines StoryPoint's dining services.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with hiring, coaching, and managing culinary staff, overseeing product quality, portion control, cost management, scheduling, and staff coordination. Your ability to supervise and guide kitchen employees is crucial, as well as your hands-on involvement in food preparation and cooking during peak periods. The Sous Chef will also assist with menu planning, food ordering, and ensuring that meal services run smoothly even in the absence of the Executive Chef.
