Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn in Beverly Hills, California, seeks a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $68,640 to $76,700 annually, complemented by an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. In this role, the Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the operation of a high-volume kitchen, ensuring outstanding food quality, adherence to culinary standards, and efficient team management. The Sous Chef plays a vital role in leading and mentoring the culinary team, supporting hiring and training efforts, managing food and labor costs, and driving menu innovation through collaboration on recipe development. Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with all relevant health regulations and company policies is also a key responsibility.
A successful candidate will bring at least three years of culinary experience with supervisory duties in a similar high-quality, high-volume food operation. Expertise in food presentation, recipe adherence, and team leadership is essential, as is knowledge of food and labor cost management, inventory control, and food safety best practices. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel is required, alongside the ability to obtain certifications including ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures. Flexibility regarding work schedule is necessary, as shifts include days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and special events.
