We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in maintaining the seamless operation of our kitchen, playing a pivotal role in food preparation, quality control, inventory management, and upkeep of the kitchen environment. This position demands a natural leader with supervisory expertise and a background in high-volume cooking. The successful candidate will possess a deep passion for food excellence and a commitment to exceeding quality standards, creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
The Sous Chef will manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting while supporting a positive and productive team atmosphere. This role requires someone who is organized, efficient, and capable of coaching and educating team members within compliance of food safety regulations. ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification is essential, as is the ability to work long hours under physically demanding kitchen conditions. - Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management plus 2 years of related experience including supervisory experience
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification
- Must have advanced knowledge of food service regulations
- Must be organized, skilled with time management, and efficient in hot and cold line production
- Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per shift in an environment with extreme temperatures
- Skilled with the use of hand tools or machines needed for the position
- Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
