The Sous Chef works closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure that food preparation flows seamlessly with a strong emphasis on safety, sanitation, quality control, and efficient kitchen management.   • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Professional diploma or food services management
  • 1-2 years of hands-on butcher experience
  • Advanced and accurate knife handling skills
  • Minimum 2+ years of cooking experience with advanced knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, presentation, and food cost control
  • Working knowledge of fire extinguishers
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • SafeServ Certification compliant
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in a busy kitchen environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly
  • Exposure to heat, fire sparks, and noise in the kitchen
