The role of Sous Chef at SSA Group is a dynamic and essential position reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This role is centered around culinary excellence and team leadership, playing a critical part in delivering high-quality food and service across SSA Group’s client venues. The Sous Chef's primary responsibilities include overseeing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. They contribute to menu pricing, manage inventory, and incorporate sustainable resources into culinary selections, reflecting SSA Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Additionally, they play an active role in training, coaching, and mentoring kitchen teams to foster skill development and efficiency. The position requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills to maintain seamless communication with clients, general managers, and headquarter personnel. The Sous Chef is also responsible for maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and supporting payroll and financial controls.
