SSA Group is currently seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join their culinary team. The Sous Chef will report directly to the Executive Chef and play a key role in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and team leadership within their operations. This position is hourly and non-exempt, with pay dependent on experience and certifications. The role encompasses a wide range of duties including food preparation, menu pricing assistance, supervising kitchen staff, managing food safety protocols, and supporting payroll and inventory management. The Sous Chef will also incorporate sustainable resources into culinary selections and contribute to specialty projects as assigned. Ideal candidates will bring proven leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a flexible approach suitable for a fast-paced environment. The role requires close interaction with clients, general managers, and HQ personnel, demanding strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to perform operational tasks, including extended standing and handling of materials up to 35 pounds, is also necessary.
