As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, following recipes and menus including holiday-specific instructions, and ensuring portion control standards are met. The position requires close attention to detail in food safety practices, from handling and storage to cleaning and sanitation protocols. Leadership and mentoring are key components of this role, especially in the absence of the Executive Chef, where you will supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to maintain a smooth and productive kitchen environment.
Additionally, the Sous Chef will focus on resident satisfaction by addressing food-related complaints timely and effectively. Administrative duties are also integral to this position, including menu planning, inventory management, ordering, receiving supplies, processing invoices, and assisting in staffing and payroll activities.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Minimum 2 years experience in industry or full-service restaurant cooking
 - Effective communication in English and excellent customer service skills
 - Experience mentoring and directing others
 - Ability to prepare and follow recipes
 - General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices
 - Basic computer skills
