We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals for a key back of house (BOH) role within our restaurant operations. This position is integral to maintaining the high operational standards and exceptional food quality that Tupelo Honey patrons expect. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant during their designated shifts, ensuring seamless BOH operations, and supervising critical kitchen functions including line cooking, food preparation, expo, and dish areas.
A major part of this role involves strict adherence to recipe execution and quality standards, ensuring every dish meets Tupelo Honey’s signature taste and presentation. The role also includes leading the preparation of the Tupelo Honey family meal, promoting team unity and wellbeing. Strict safety and sanitation protocols, aligned with Steritech standards, are a pivotal responsibility, as is managing performance and delivering training to line and expo staff members.
This position demands strong leadership capabilities for mentoring and coaching back of house team members, as well as providing guidance through performance management processes that include counseling, discipline, and overall support. Candidates should bring proven experience in a restaurant environment, ideally with at least two years in kitchen preparation and cooking, and a minimum of six months in a supervisory or similar capacity.
