Global Medical Response (GMR) is a leading provider of emergency medical services and patient relocation solutions across the United States. As part of its commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and compassionate service, GMR operates a well-established network of emergency response teams equipped with advanced medical technology. The company prides itself on a mission to provide top-tier patient care in critical situations with professionalism and dedication. GMR fosters an inclusive workplace culture that supports veterans, military spouses, and active-duty service members, underlining its dedication to meaningful hiring initiatives within the military community. GMR's employment offerings include comprehensive benefits aimed at supporting the well-being of its workforce. This commitment is well reflected in its authorized participation in the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program, through which it collaborates actively with active-duty military personnel in their transition to civilian careers in medical response roles. The Paramedic Military Fellowship program at GMR, designed exclusively for active-duty military members, offers a distinctive opportunity for Service Members to gain invaluable civilian work experience in the medical response field during the final six months of their obligated military service. Sponsored by the DOD SkillBridge initiative, this fellowship extends up to 180 days and requires candidates to have clearance and approval from their unit commanders. The role calls for individuals passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care and advanced medical services in diverse emergency settings. As a participant, fellows will be trained and engaged in managing medical emergency scenes, utilizing advanced medical equipment, and leading paramedic teams when necessary. This hands-on program enables seamless transition from military to civilian healthcare roles, enriching the skills and competencies essential for a successful paramedic career in the civilian sector. GMR ensures continuous community engagement and professional collaboration among allied health and public safety personnel, fostering an environment of shared responsibilities and respect. Applicants to this exclusive fellowship must demonstrate a willingness to work remotely within the continental United States and meet stringent medical, certification, and legal requirements. Participants are empowered to utilize their military medical expertise with progressive paramedic protocols, including the operation of critical devices such as defibrillators, oxygen delivery systems, and intravenous fluid administration. The program also establishes clear responsibilities for ensuring communication and reassurance to patients and their families, driving ambulances for emergency responses, and maintaining meticulous scene and unit management. This comprehensive training and real-world experience bridge military proficiency with civilian emergency medical services, enhancing career readiness and expanding employment horizons post-service at a competitive full-time employment level under GMR's reputable banner.
