We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Site Coordinator for a part-time, seasonal position within the Palmdale School District at various school locations. This role is integral to the delivery and quality assurance of outcome-based youth programs and activities which promote the overall development of young members. Offering 20 to 30 hours per week, typically from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday (with occasional extended hours), this position runs from July 22, 2025, to June 5, 2026. The starting pay rate is $20.75 per hour, subject to variation based on qualifications and availability.
As a Site Coordinator, you will be directly responsible for mentoring youth and ensuring they engage positively with the programs offered, which are designed to help build their self-confidence and enable them to realize their potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Your leadership will be critical in planning, implementing, and monitoring National Club Programs and Grant Funded Programs, ensuring each initiative aligns with youth development outcomes. You will maintain a safe, nurturing environment where youth can thrive, reinforced by your ability to enforce health and safety standards while managing staff and volunteers effectively. Your role also includes maintaining detailed records, overseeing compliance with grant reporting requirements, and fostering strong relationships with parents, staff, and the larger school community.
The position demands excellent communication skills, leadership with a team-building mentality, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. You will be expected to facilitate grant-related activities and multiple program areas including character and leadership, education and career development, health and life skills, arts, and sports and recreation. Further, the role involves significant coordination of volunteers and staff, ensuring quality program delivery and continuous evaluation to adapt offerings to the evolving needs of members.
Working in this dynamic environment, you will contribute to maintaining the site's visibility and engagement through proactive advertising and community outreach. In addition to fulfilling the operational responsibilities, the Site Coordinator will adhere to professional standards including punctuality, policy compliance, and a commitment to continual professional development through staff training and participation in meetings.
This position requires a high level of energy, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and readiness to address challenges while fostering a positive outlook within the team and the youth served. You are expected to be physically active and capable of standing for extended periods, handling equipment, and maintaining an orderly workspace.
