With an extensive portfolio of over 50 itineraries spanning more than 35 states, American Cruise Lines provides travelers with a chance to explore iconic destinations while enjoying top-notch service, exceptional cuisine, and comfortable accommodations.
The company’s core values—Optimism, Commitment, Patriotism, and Merit—are more than just words; they represent a guiding philosophy that permeates every aspect of the guest experience and employee engagement. American Cruise Lines invites those who share these values and a passion for storytelling to join their dedicated team in delivering unparalleled hospitality as they share America’s story on these elegant vessels.
For the 2026 cruising season, American Cruise Lines is actively seeking Servers to join their shipboard hotel and restaurant teams. This role is essential to ensuring guests receive an elegant and memorable dining experience that aligns with the company’s high standards. Servers will work onboard for a temporary period of 28 weeks, during which they will engage directly with guests, providing courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable service that enhances the overall voyage experience.
The position offers wages ranging from $1,000 to $1,400 per week, complemented by additional performance-based bonuses. With all major living expenses covered—including travel to and from the vessel, room and board, uniforms, and paid training—this opportunity represents an extraordinary chance to save earnings while gaining valuable hospitality experience. Working a minimum of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, Servers will develop a strong foundation in the cruise industry and contribute to the smooth operation of dining services during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special cocktail hours.
In addition to routine restaurant duties, such as setting and breaking down tables, servers will assist with greeting guests at embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and supporting evening entertainment events. This comprehensive role offers not only hands-on hospitality skills but also opportunities to form lasting connections with fellow crew members and guests from across the country.
American Cruise Lines emphasizes a safe and professional work environment, requiring pre-employment drug testing, adherence to grooming standards, and a commitment to alcohol-free service while onboard. The ideal candidates are adaptable, physically capable of meeting job demands, and able to maintain composure under pressure with a positive attitude. The company’s inclusive hiring practices ensure equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or genetic information.
Joining American Cruise Lines as a Server offers a unique career pathway within the hospitality and travel industry, setting the stage for advancement into management positions. While such promotions are not guaranteed, motivated individuals can leverage the skills and experience gained during their tenure to pursue further opportunities within the company’s growing fleet.
