In this role, servers report to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager and are responsible for greeting guests, seating them, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and handling payments. They also contribute to sales by suggesting menu items and upselling when appropriate. Attention to detail, such as recognizing guest preferences and addressing any concerns swiftly, is key to success in this role. Physical stamina is important as servers will need to carry trays, lift supplies, and remain on their feet for the duration of their shifts. The position also requires adherence to Denny's health, safety, and grooming standards, including the ability to operate the point of sale system and work around potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals safely. Denny's offers this position as a part-time or full-time opportunity with compensation ranging from $18.67 to $19.50 per hour.
