The Senior Valet Attendant is responsible for delivering impeccable service in vehicle handling and parking operations while ensuring the security and satisfaction of guests and visitors at UC San Diego Health. Under supervision, the incumbent performs tasks such as inspecting vehicles for pre-existing damage, issuing ticket receipts, and accurately documenting vehicle details and parking locations. The attendant must retrieve vehicles promptly, secure cash payments, maintain key tagging and storage systems, and uphold high standards of customer service. This role may also serve as a supervisor backup during absences, emphasizing leadership capabilities and operational excellence. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record compliant with local policies or be willing to enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, alongside strong customer service skills and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Additional prerequisites include the successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving test.
