The Group Sales Manager role at The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club is an exciting full-time management position based on-site in St. Petersburg. This role serves as the critical on-property liaison for group sales, focusing on managing group bookings within defined peak room parameters for property sales. The Group Sales Manager is responsible for contracting and closing group business, conducting site inspections, and ensuring a seamless transfer of client information to event management to guarantee superior service delivery. They play a vital role in achieving group revenue goals by actively upselling each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential. This position demands a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, and the ability to negotiate creatively and effectively. Additionally, the Group Sales Manager is charged with implementing the brand’s service strategy and initiatives throughout the sales process, thereby fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. The role requires partnership and collaboration with area sales teams and the management group to develop and execute sales and marketing plans that align with property revenue objectives. Compensation for this role falls within the hourly rate range of $36.06 to $48.08, with the added incentive of a bonus program.   • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • Two years experience in sales and marketing or related area
  • Preferred experience in large group sales
  • Ability to conduct site inspections
