The Senior Food Service Manager position at Eagle Landing is a pivotal leadership role within UNT Dining Services. This full-time position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and is classified as TRS eligible retirement status. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Food Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, managing costs, enforcing food safety and hygiene standards, supervising both student employees and full-time staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for the campus community including students, faculty, staff, and guests. The Senior Food Service Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality service and culinary standards that UNT Dining is known for, fostering a collaborative team environment, and aligning daily operations with the university's policies and national food safety regulations such as HACCP standards. Successful candidates for this role will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field coupled with a minimum of three years of food service management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience. Extensive knowledge in dining, retail, or catering operations is essential, alongside expertise in dietetics management, cost and quality control, business operations including planning and budgeting, and staff training and development. The position requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent judgment in personnel and food preparation decisions, and a detailed orientation to uphold the department’s exceptional standards for food safety and customer service. ServSafe certification or an equivalent food safety certification is required or must be obtained within six months of employment. This role demands a proactive and organized professional passionate about collegiate dining and food service excellence. Physical requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and repetitive hand motions. The work schedule varies, and the position requires driving a university vehicle.
