GA Telesis is a global leader in providing integrated solutions to the aviation and aerospace industries. Established to meet the complex needs of over 2,000 customers worldwide, GA Telesis operates with a wide reach across 19 countries through 31 leasing, sales, distribution, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. Their clientele includes airlines, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), MRO providers, and suppliers. The company's core business revolves around integrated aviation solutions, striving towards their mission of customer success by delivering innovative products and services tailored to the aviation sector. GA Telesis is widely recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, making it a trusted partner in the aviation and aerospace market. The Senior Director of Technical Asset Management role at GA Telesis falls within the LIFT (Leasing, Investments, Finance & Trading) group, a pivotal branch dedicated to advancing the company's leasing and trading operations. This senior leadership position reports directly to the Vice President of Technical Asset Management and is crucial for maintaining the technical integrity of the company’s extensive aircraft and engine portfolio. The role is office-based and demands a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who has the ability to handle a large volume of portfolio activity efficiently. The Senior Director works closely with various internal teams, including commercial and legal departments, to support efficient and value-driven asset trading and oversight. The principal responsibility of the Senior Director involves leading technical due diligence for trading activities, including acquisitions, sales, and portfolio trades of aircraft and engines. This requires deep technical expertise and the capacity to evaluate asset conditions, documentation, and associated risks in real-time. The role supports pricing decisions through accurate technical insight and risk assessments, ensuring that trading activities align with company objectives and regulatory standards. Managing technical representatives during key projects such as sales, placements, and redeliveries is also a significant part of the position, alongside maintaining detailed project trackers to ensure milestones meet deal closing dates effectively. Contractual support forms another critical part of the role, including providing technical input for letters of intent (LOIs), leases, and sale and purchase agreements. The Senior Director is responsible for defining and negotiating technical language in contracts related to delivery conditions, return conditions, and maintenance covenants, as well as supporting redelivery planning and managing mid-lease modifications or early termination scenarios. Collaboration with the Technical Records team is essential to ensure completeness and compliance with return conditions, assessing technical records to make informed decisions that mitigate execution risks. In addition, this senior role contributes to refining internal processes and systems, such as technical templates, project trackers, inspection forms, and open item close-out procedures. Participation in post-mortem reviews following projects helps identify bottlenecks or recurring issues, enabling continuous improvement in transition and trading support operations. This position requires at least 7 years of relevant experience in aircraft leasing, technical asset management, or MRO/engineering, with a strong background in documentation and transaction support. While having an A&P License is considered a plus, a deep understanding of FAA/EASA regulatory requirements, lease structures, and aircraft maintenance programs is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong commercial awareness, the ability to assess technical risk and opportunities, and proven leadership skills to manage teams and cross-functional workflows successfully. GA Telesis emphasizes an inclusive hiring policy; however, a key eligibility requirement for this role is that candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The company encourages prospective applicants to learn more about their innovative approach to the future of aviation and aerospace by connecting with them on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
  • 7+ years of experience in aircraft leasing, technical asset management, or MRO/engineering
  • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulatory requirements
  • Experience with lease structures and aircraft maintenance programs
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent technical assessment and risk evaluation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
