This announcement is for a temporary position during the Thanksgiving Holiday, from November 20 to December 1, 2025. However, this opportunity extends beyond the holiday, offering potential employment for the 2026 season running from April through October at Gozzer Ranch. The role focuses on leading the pastry department while working closely with culinary and food & beverage leaders to uphold the highest culinary standards and foster continuous improvement.
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for supervising the daily procurement of specific pastry ingredients, ensuring quality control, minimizing waste, and maintaining strict adherence to cleaning schedules and temperature records. This leadership position requires anticipation of business needs, daily organization of kitchen preparations, and inventory management. The individual will also collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and implement new menu ideas showcasing seasonal and local ingredients in alignment with world-class standards. Maintaining equipment and ensuring proper handling across culinary staff is vital as well.
The role demands a strong commitment to food safety by preventing the use of contaminated products and complying with all government, safety, health, and security regulations. The Pastry Chef will ensure that all pastry items meet uniform taste, temperature, and presentation standards while adhering to portion specifications.
